Individuals and even businesses make resolutions each year, committing to change for the better. While most people turn over new leaves when the calendar changes from one year to the next, there is no reason this cannot be done at other times. In fact, the middle of the year is the perfect time to make a commitment to improve. Many companies are doing this by going green and this includes everything from recycling paper and office supplies to ordering only eco friendly promotional items.
Eco Friendly Promotional Items No Longer Come at a Premium
The environmental movement began after World War II but it did not get rolling until the 1960s and 1970s. During these decades, major environmental groups including the World Wildlife Foundation and Greenpeace were formed and countries began passing legislation designed to protect the water, air, animals, and land on our planet. By the 21st century, many people were using eco-friendly cleaners and driving cars with little or no emissions.
Initially, products and services catering to the green movement carried a premium. Prices have declined dramatically in recent years. Businesses can now purchase paper and office supplies made from recycled materials for the same prices as paper made from precious new trees and supplies crafted from synthetic materials. Environmentally friendly promotional products feature the same price points as promos made from scarce natural resources. This leaves no excuse not to go green with promotional efforts.
